We returned home with more ease than our drive down. We stayed in two absolutely fantastic love motels and ate the best ribeye in Hermosillo. It was a trip to remember and definitely one worth repeating.

We set out in the early afternoon, headed north and arrived at Isla de la Piedra by early evening. The peninsula has some tourist attractions but is largely inhabitated by locals. We chose a small house a few streets back from the water taxi.

Our coffee farm tours and the visit with the main producer in the area were amazing. The family spent a great deal of time with us and thanks to the translation efforts of our guide, we were able to understand most of their story.
