We have briefly described how we made our decision between Chino Valley & Silver City in previous posts. However, a lot more went into it than we alluded to. Some of the important aspects to the towns are listed below, in no order of importance. By weighing the value of each category in the bigger picture, we ultimately chose Silver City.
They did have a few things in common, including –
- Kind of windy at times
- About 20-30 minutes away from hiking, depending on which plot of land we chose
- If well/septic is needed, the cost would likely be similar
- Nice people
- Independent businesses supported by the townsfolk
