We went on an extended hike this past weekend. Craving the comfortable sandy path of the Continental Divide Trail off Highway 90 South, we decided to go back there and hike further in.
The trail climbed quite a bit and became increasingly rocky. Trooper had to be dragged for most of the way up but he came down at a decent pace.
At the turn-around point, Trooper suddenly decided to go venturing off a rocky edge. I lured him back and gave him a snack. As it turns out, he was actually sniffing out water.
Trooper found a narrow pond of water between some big rocks. Sydney was grateful he shared with her.
