Day off! Having decided on a plan and with a tentative floor sanding date of late next week, we decided to take the evening off. We went for a lovely hike out at the Dragonfly Trail. What we thought was a 45 minute loop was more like an hour and 45 minutes. But it was great. It was a wonderful evening and the hike was beautiful.
Trooper with a big grin, having a blast on the hike.
Beautiful evening to be footloose and fancy free.
About halfway through the hike, we spotted a sizable cave on the other side of a dry riverbed. Brian went over to check it out. Sydney followed and upon returning, she brought with her an amazing aroma of lavender or some related plant.
Close-up of the cave. Something large could definitely fit in there.
While Brian was investigating the cave, he felt there was an unusually high number of hornets in the air. Turns out there was a hive next to the cave.
Two-thirds of the way ; At this point, we were walking in the dry riverbed. Getting darker!
View of the sky as we completed our trek – You can see the sliver of the moon in the top left corner. Nice cloud art.
